A friend of mine mentioned running across an online site for book readers to log their collections and share their current reading, reviewing, etc, etc. She could not, however, remember the name of the place, so I did a bit of digging and came up with not one but three: LibraryThing, Goodreads, and Shelfari.

Anyone reading this use one of these sites? Tried more than one? If so, recount your experiences!

I currently make sporadic use of LibraryThing to keep track of what I've read recently. I like that it's easy to add books (by entering ISBNs). I do not make serious use of the site, and I've not tried Goodreads, so I can't comment more effectively.

I think that I'm asdnart at LibraryThing, if you'd like to look at my (virtually content-free) account.

If you look up "freeganism" there's another site about book reviews. I went there thinking I could get a free book, but I guess I'll never understand it because you can't just ask someone for a free book. But they do have reviews of the books.
