I think Harper gets one more shot at a majority and then he's finished either way - if he loses to a Liberal majority, the RetroCons will turf him for a newer model and if he wins another minority or loses to a Liberal minority, the RetroCons will pull out their knives. He's trying to ride herd on an unhappy marriage of fiscal conservatives and neocons with a significant nutjob fringe to manage. IMO, the money on both sides of the party expect a majority and if they don't get it, they're going to start shopping for a more sellable leader.
