I'll be in Toronto Saturday, but we're going the King Tut exhibit, and later the ROM.
I looked up this event, and I was surprised to learn that it is being held perhaps a block away from the apartment I had been living in Toronto/North York (on Carluke) just before I went to medical school a (gulp) good 17 years ago.
Hrm. These negative responses impel me to not attend either. I had considered making the trip only to exchange a boardgame with someone, but it seems like a long trip just for that, what with last minute planning required and family obligations to trample... so attendance from folks on the flist might have been cool incentive: oh well.
No, no -- you should not feel horrible. The game will get exchanged outside Gryphcon this coming weekend, likely; my family was greatful that I didn't swan off to The Big Smoke this past weekend, so no damage done.
