... so, apparently, he's going to once again consider making a run at the oval office. I don't know enough about Nader or his suitability for the job, but the whole thing smacks a bit like a Harvard Professor thinking that he's got what it takes to lead a nation. Or something. I guess that's part of the charm of democracy.

Wonderful. The GOP's day just got made because Nader will, based on previous experience, hurt the democrats far, far more than the Republicans. I'm all for offering an alternative (God knows this country has 'You can have Tory in grey, or greyer. Pick one and like it.') but this? This isn't good news.

I haven't seen stats on this guy's runs at the office, but it wouldn't surprise me if his popularity has shrunk each time he's tried, and he's on the verge of whacky irrelevance. But it's certainly looking good for Republicans from my naive point of view: it seems to me that both McCain and Romney match-up rather well against Clinton (because she's a woman, and worse, a Clinton) and Obama (because he's black and young); this can't help.

Mind you, it's possible that Clinton and Obama's "minority" aspects could work for them as much as against them...
